نظم عشرات من المتظاهرين من أعضاء جمعيات حقوق الإنسان في إسبانيا، مظاهرة سلمية، أمس الأحد، ضد مهرجان مصارعة الثيران الذي ستنطلق فعالياته في سان فيرمين في بامبلونا.

وغطى المتظاهرون أجسامهم بالدماء تعبيرا عن اعتراضهم على إلحاق الأذى بالحيوان، من خلال إقامة مثل هذه المهرجانات مطالبين بإلغائها منعا لتعذيب الحيوانات وتعريضها للتعذيب والعنف والأذى.

ووضع المتظاهرون قرونًا فوق رؤوسهم، وغطوا وجوههم وأجزاء كبيرة من أجسامهم بالدماء، تضامنًا مع الحيوانات التي تلقي حتفها بسبب السباقات التي ينظمها أصحابها.

يذكر أن مهرجان سان فيرمين، هو أكبر مهرجان لمصارعة الثيران في العالم.

ويستمر المهرجان الذي يجذب أعدادًا كبيرة من السياح والسكان المحليين لمدة 8 أيام، تنظم خلاله سباقات للثيران، يتابعه الآلاف في الحلبات والشوارع ومن خلال شرفات المنازل المطلة على شوارع المدينة الضيقة.

ويطلق الإسبان ثيرانهم، لتركض مسافة 850 مترًا، قبل أن يتم إدخالها إلى حلبة خاصة.
